Welcome to Sports Arena East

Sports Arena East is located on the Benton County Fairgrounds in Sauk Rapids, MN.  It is a top level, multi-use facility with hockey and other ice events running from September through March.  In the off ice-season, Sports Arena East is used for dry floor events such as the Benton County Fair, the St. Cloud Antique Auto Club Car Show, circuses, class reunions, weddings and many other events.

The arena is home to the Sauk Rapids Youth Hockey Association, Sauk Rapids Storm boys high school hockey team, shared home of the Stormin’ Sabres girls high school hockey team, as well as home ice for the Granite City Lumberjacks – an NA3HL team.

About

Sports Arena East has a state-of-the-art air handling system to ensure the players/fans are always in a safe environment with excellent air quality.  The system also monitors/adjusts the humidity levels in the arena to give us the best quality ice for our customers.  The bleacher seating has infrared heating and the south end of the rink has an enclosed heated viewing area capable of holding over 150 fans.  The new bathroom facilities and concession stand are open and ready to serve you.

Available Ice Time

Sports Arena East is available for rent. If your team or club needs ice time, please check with Tory for open dates and times. If you have any questions about booking ice time, please contact:

$5 adult, $3 kids, age 4 and under free with paying adult
No sticks or horseplay.  Under age 13 must be accompanied by an adult (adult does not need to skate, but must remain on premises)  Rental skates are available at no charge!  Sizes are limited.
